by Dani Rosenbloom

Hearts dwell, cellophane walls;

Blocking out the bees who sting,

And the lark who calls.

The boiling heat trapped—confide,

Has nowhere to go

Nowhere to hide.

Lose the flood

Of the pain and blood,

Stuck in the past,

Lack of love.

Tangled in soil

Made arrest from the sun,

Thus when the bulwark drops down

Strings start to strum.
