His was given his life sentence five years ago

But he wouldn’t let a life sentence stop him from living the way he wanted to

Despite the odds and pill bottles stacked against him, he remained resilient, fighting the evil that was allotted to him, hoping one day, to be set free

He had an escape plan

It was scattered among the strict regimens and chemotherapy treatments, ready for when he was released from his ruling

He thought he would prevail, gaining his freedom back, thinking maybe he had accidentally received the wrong sentence

But he did not

Scans do not lie, only reveal the truth

And a life sentence is a life sentence

He was cursed to his ailment for eternity, however long an eternity would prove to be

The freedom he eventually gained was not the one he hoped for, however, he was finally free

My life sentence started the day his ended

He was now free from suffering, though mine was just beginning, I too, now cursed for an eternity

Permanently imprisoned to a world without him

But I won’t let a life sentence stop me from living the way I want to, in the same way he never let it stop him
