 i can feel it.

every single

breath inside me

i can feel it.

acutely aware

(of everything)

they’re closing the box

and sealing it tight;

“it’s out of love!”

no, it’s out of spite

i can

feel it.

the answers i found

were finally clear

the second the words

had spilled from my lips the meaning behind them “doesn’t exist”, at least,

not in the eyes of them

i can

feel it.

i can feel the evaporation of my trust in myself

i can feel the hurt of those i love and should help

i can feel the hopelessness the loss that’s been dealt

i can

feel it.

every single

breath inside me…

it hurts.

they hurt, i hurt

they’re hurting (active verb) i’m hurting (active verb)

i should be louder (double meaning) i should be stronger (but what’s the meaning?)

every single

ounce of air that ever has left my lungs i can feel it.

it hurts but…

i can feel it.
