Tomorrow Tomorrow

Till tomorrow you’ll say

though you know time is no friend.

If you live in yesterday, you’re already dead.

How many morning-afters will it take?

Has comfort not enriched you enough?

Till tomorrow you’ll say.

You are a river following lakes, constantly

In search of  honey crescent moons–

If you live in yesterday, you’re already dead.

Your escapes have escaped you,

And your wounds can no longer be ignored.

Till tomorrow you’ll say.

Moments continuously pass you by,

Your eyes glued to some rusty rear-view mirror.

If you live in yesterday, you’re already dead.

You live a life of denial;

Spending weeks pretending you’ve let go.

Till tomorrow you’ll say,

But you live in yesterday, you’re already dead!
