Poem 1(no title)

Timeless tales with tell you

of myths told in light

where he fights to win her

hero of a child’s dream swept night

while she is trapped in cynical solidarity, and he is king of all nobody watches as she falls

falls not for him but down to a world unknown Discovering herself: blood, flesh and bone.

Poem 2 (no title)

Meet the angels in your mind that hide

like treasure

behind barricaded walls: a demon’s assemblage. You’ll find a peep of blinding light:

ancient secrets told in plain sight.

—

Do you see my wings?

Can you still feel me as I fly?

up through pink clouds

eternal, golden.

and though I love the earths gentle ground,

I must chase the sun’s sound

the light that is blinding–

a mural of souls who struck joy in the confounding.

I pray you’ll follow.
